Media Release: Arensdorf Arrest
The Clinton County Sheriff's Office announces the arrest of David James Arensdorf, a 27 year old from Dubuque, Iowa. Mr. Arensdorf was arrested on April 18, 2011 around 10:02 a.m. in Clinton for the crime of Enticing a Minor, in violation of Iowa Code 710.10 (2), a Class D Felony. Upon conviction, a person could be sentenced up to 5 years and/or a fine up to $7,500.
Mr. Arensdorf will make his initial appearance in Clinton County Court on Tuesday morning, April 19, 2011. He is currently being held in the Clinton County Jail on $5,000 cash or surety bond.
This arrest is the culmination of an investigation by the Clinton County Sheriff's Office with the assistance of the Clinton County Attorney's Office, the DeWitt Police Department, Clinton Police Department and Sheriff's Office, and the Iowa Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
